Welcome to LC Soundtrax!

If you're here, it means that you're interested in learning more about Biyang pedals, so here are some general information.

Beijing Biyang Sound Electronic Co., Ltd
are one of the rare companies that put great value on the quality and workmanship of their products. In less than a decade, and relying solely on word-of-mouth, Biyang has acquired quite a following around the world, appealing to musicians from Europe, USA, Australia, and New Zealand, among others.

Musicians from Malaysia are now taking notice of the Biyang phenomenon, and very soon, it will take the whole country by storm!

One of the biggest questions is:
Why are guitarists everywhere crazy about Biyang's pedals?

The short and easy answer would be simply because Biyang's pedals are superior quality products at very affordable prices.

Most companies spend 30% of their funds on production costs, and the other 70% on advertising, but Biyang spends 100% of their funds on production, relying fully on positive feedback and word-of-mouth for advertising.

This means that when you buy a Biyang product, you are paying for the high-quality materials and the superb workmanship, and not for the company's advertising costs. This, in effect, means that you get long-lasting pedals that look great, with awesome tones, and are made with advanced technology and carefully chosen quality materials, at very reasonable prices. These are the Tonefancier pedals.

Great Look:
The Tonefancier series are made from stainless steel, adopting a mirror surface treatment which looks elegant and beautiful.

Functional Design:
The TrueBypass design ensures the quality of the tone, with no signal loss or delayed sound.

Highest Quality Materials:
The most important component of every effect pedal is the capacitors which are responsible for transferring every beautiful note smoothly. Biyang's Tonefancier series uses WIMA capacitors from Germany, which are more than 10 times higher in quality and cost than regular capacitors, and only made available in Biyang's effect pedals with such affordable prices because 100% of Biyang's funds go completely into the production of the pedals. The WIMA capacitors guarantees that the pure tones comes through with minimum signal loss.

Superb Workmanship:
All the Tonefancier series adopt a simple and stable double-sided printed circuit board which ensures minimum risks of void soldering and welding seams. Except the battery line, all components are welded in the printed circuit board without any straying lines.

Biyang is so confident in the quality of their Tonefancier effect pedals that not only did they choose to rely on positive word-of-mouth and public praise to do their advertising for them, they have also implemented a 5-year warranty policy and lifelong maintenance services for the Tonefancier series.

Biyang's Tonefancier effect pedals are the best choice for guitarists who are looking for the highest quality products with the best sounds and most affordable prices.

About Us

Who are LC Soundtrax?

We are two music lovers who dreamed of living on music and music alone, but fortunately, are realistic enough to realize that we can't, except indirectly, so we decided to make music our business.

Lone is an exceptionally talented musician whose main instrument is the guitar. One of his biggest assets is his super-sharp and sensitive ears that can identify sounds and tones that most people aren't able to distinguish. His exceptional hearing skills have contributed immensely to his talent as a guitarist.

Betty is the voice to Lone's music, and is an amazing vocalist and songwriter. Her beautiful and musical voice is the perfect partner to Lone's poignant music. She also has a very talented eye for good business investments, especially when it comes to being able to earn a living doing the things they love.

LC Soundtrax is a small company started by Lone and Betty in 2007 based on their love of everything music, involving themselves in live performances, trading in musical instruments and equipments, composing new music, and also music education.

How did LC Soundtrax become affiliated with Biyang?

It was a very lucky case of being in the right place at the right time. A few months after LC Soundtrax was established, Lone was looking for new sounds for his music, and he asked around for recommendations from his fellow guitarists around the world. A few of them raved about Biyang, and Lone's interest was piqued. He went to the official website to check if there was a directory of local shops where he could buy the pedals, but he couldn't find any. So he ended up buying a few different ones directly from the website.

When he got the pedals and tried them for the first time, he was so impressed with the sounds and the quality of the products that he had to show the pedals off to his musician friends. They too, were impressed with the sound and the quality, and asked Lone if he could help them acquire their own Biyang items.

After a few more transactions for his friends with Biyang, Lone thought that perhaps it wouldn't be such a bad idea if LC Soundtrax started distributing Biyang items in Malaysia. Betty, while not a guitarist and not being able to understand the appeal of the Biyang pedals as well as Lone could, trusted Lone's ears when it came to the sound of the pedals, and her own ears, when it came to all the positive feedback about the pedals, and she thought distributing Biyang products was an excellent idea too.

A few months later, after negotiating with the company, LC Soundtrax is now the official sole distributor of Biyang products in Malaysia, and the rest is history.

Biyang FL8 Flanger

Biyang's Flanger FL-8 is one of our favorite pedals. An analog circuitry design is incorporated to created the flanger effect. The RES knob allows the musician to create an endless swirling effect.

The Rate knob refers to the speed of the wave or the rate at which the Low Frequency Oscillator (LFO) waveform repeats, more specifically, it controls how many times per second the notches in the audio spectrum sweep up and down. The speed also affects the pitch modulation and the depth of the notches.

The Depth knob also allows you to control the depth of the sound, the larger the depth, the more pronounced the notches will be. The Manual knob allows you to choose the LFO waveform that determines how much to delay the flanger sound effect.

This is a pedal for adventurous musicians who are not afraid to make a big impact with their music. Some of our favorite musicians who uses this effect are: Smashing Pumpkins on the tracks "Love" and "Through The Eyes Of Ruby", Lenny Kravitz on "Are You Gonna Go My Way", and Nickelback on "Next Contestant".

Biyang OD8 Overdrive with JRC4558,NE5532,TL072 Chip (changeable)

Biyang's Overdrive 8, X-Drive, is similar to their Overdrive 7, except that the OD-8 has a changeable JRC4558 chipset, and comes with 2 additional chips, the NE5532 chip, which produces a warmer overdrive tone, and the TL072 chip, which produces a harder overdrive tone, in addition to the JRC4558 chip itself, which produces the popular "Tubescreamer" tone.

In the 70s, Maxon used the JRC4558 chipset and successfully created a much sought after overdrive pedal. Soon after, Ibanez, Boss, and other brands started implementing the use of the chipset, making the JRC4558 so famous. With better technology progress, Biyang is now using higher quality JRC4558 chips to get an even better sound!

The biggest breakthrough in technology for the OD-8 is that it allows the user to use the 3 chips interchangeably to create a different tone for the sound desired without soldering or needing the expertise of professionals. It is as simple as changing the CDs in a CD player!

Sample sound clip: (best with headphone)

With the JRC4558 chip; (sounds like the Ibanez pedal "tube screamer" tone and a favorite tone of the legendary Stevie Ray Vaughan, used in his hits "Pride and Joy" and "Little Wing")
